At Bleu Sky Kennels, your dog lives with us as one of our own. This isn’t a facility-style environment — it’s a family-run home where your dog receives individual care, attention, and affection throughout their stay.

We honor your home rules: if your dog is allowed on furniture at home, they’re welcome on the couch here too. If they’re not, we’ll respect that and reinforce those boundaries. There are plenty of hands here for belly rubs, scratches, and snuggles, and it’s not uncommon to find a few dogs slouched across laps on a rainy day.

On sunny days, you'll find us chasing balls in the yard, playing gentle group games, or relaxing together under the shade. We make sure your dog is both mentally and physically fulfilled — all in a calm, respectful, and structured setting.

We can accommodate minor medical issues as well. If your dog has a sprain or needs to avoid rough play, they’ll still get one-on-one time outside and will be part of the group inside — just without the physical play.

While we do plenty of playtime, we don’t allow much roughhousing indoors — this is also our family home, and we keep things peaceful inside.  Sometimes though puppies will still be puppies.

At Bleu Sky Kennels, we know that every dog is unique, and that includes dogs who may be reactive to other dogs, new environments, or certain situations. We are experienced in caring for dogs with mild to moderate reactivity and are happy to offer boarding options tailored to their individual needs.

That said, it's important to us—and to your dog—that we’re the right fit. Because of our home-based, family-style environment, we are not equipped to handle dogs with extreme reactivity toward people. Our priority is to keep every dog safe, secure, and supported, and part of that is knowing our limits.

To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we require a phone consultation prior to booking reactive dogs. This gives us the chance to:

• Understand your dog’s reactivity (triggers, severity, and patterns)
• Learn about their history, environment, and routines
• Discuss any training or management tools already in use
• Determine whether our setup is appropriate and safe for your dog’s needs

⏰ Drop-Off & Pick-Up Hours:

• Monday–Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

We schedule 30 minutes for each drop-off or pick-up to ensure a calm and smooth transition for your dog. If something unexpected comes up, please call or text us as soon as possible—we’re usually able to make adjustments.

📍 Finding Us:
When facing the house, our driveway is to the right.
Please do not use the long driveway you first come to when coming up the hill—it's not our entrance.

📦 What to Bring:

• Your dog’s food, pre-portioned with feeding instructions
• Any medications, clearly labeled with dosage and schedule
• Toys or treats (please no irreplaceable items)
• An up-to-date copy of your dog’s vaccination records

💳 Payment Policy:

• Remaining balance is due at drop-off
• We accept cash 
• For security reasons, we do not accept electronic payments or checks

🏡 Environment & Safety:

• All dogs are crated during rest times for structure and safety
• We have a designated tornado-safe, interior space in our home for emergency weather situations

🎄 Premium Holiday Surcharge:
A $25/day surcharge applies on the following holidays:

• Easter
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day

As a family-run kennel, we deeply value both your trust and our time with loved ones. During holidays, we often need to adjust or shorten our own family gatherings or hire outside help to ensure that every dog still receives the personal attention, enrichment, and care they came to us for. This surcharge helps us maintain that high level of service even during peak family times.
